Its ink. Not much else to say. Employee at big box store said HP brand will offer crisper prints than lower priced generic options. I cant confirm that but went with this one anyhow.

Toner refills may seem expensive at first but save money over inkjet refills in the long run. And I think the OEM brands are well worth the money. Back in the inkjet days I learned not to skimp by buying generic refills that would subsequently clog up the printer jets with their inferior elements. Not sure if the same would apply to toner but I feel more confident about using OEM refills and they havent failed me yet.

This is a refurbished product, if you are looking for original look elsewhere!!!!

Easy to install, compatible, some smudging on color printing, but overall, great! Will buy again.

The original cartridges always print cleaner and quieter than the used.
