HP keeps advertising about using nothing but HP ink in there printer. I use to order the XL but the cartridge would go bad before the ink was gone. This was not a one time thing. Even some of the regular size cartridges would go bad before the ink. I like HP printers but very bad on quality control for the cartridge. Cannon printers are beginning to look good to me.
