HP PhotoSmart 325 Compact Photo Printer

Replaced a printer that had been damaged. Works great and have not had any problems with the printer as of now.

I put a brand new cartridge in & the printer didnt work. The printer quality was poor at best. I was extremely disappointed considering it was labeled very good/like new condition. I would never order from this buyer again.

Only saving grace was a quick refund. Was supposed to be able to work. Got the printer. No cord, no software, no ink, pretty much bought a paper weight.

I sent this back. Heres why: The printer appeared to be like most HP printers, quality and easy to setup. Not as easy as it should have been, as the photo paper feeds from the back, and spits out the front. Additionally, things are changing at HP and while Id never own one of their laptops, Ive been brand loyal to them for their printers since the late 1980s. Their laser printers seem to last forever and Ive never had one quit on me, even after years of service. I give or sell them when I no longer need them, rather than trash/recycle them. The last one, I donated to a local charity b/c I needed a network printer. (With a family, the number of devices that need to print add up.) Ditto their ink jets and photo printers. They last forever, too. However, HP has decided that when they discontinue to produce a printer, they want to force their customers to upgrade. In our home/home office, we use both Mac Os 10.11.2 El Capitan and Windows 10 on the PCs. I couldnt obtain the drivers for either for this printer. Thats how they gotcha. You cannot upgrade the drivers so you must get another, more expensive printer, to stay current. I purchased this to upgrade my still-working, but old Photosmart 7150. That photo printer is awesome as it can print 8x10s as well as the smaller 4x6s. Sadly, there are no drivers for this printer for the 7150 either. Im keeping the Photosmart 7150 since it still works and I have one old PC I built that runs Windows 7. At least I have something that can use it. That PC has been in storage and Ive brought it back into service, specifically for that reason. Crazy, right? I do not like how HP has forced me to upgrade. I also ordered ink for it and thats going back, too. I order so much from Amazon and I dont return much, but this was a true disappointment. Lesson learned: Never buy a printer that is manufacturer discontinued. Save your money and try and buy the latest and greatest so it will last the longest. After this experience, I ordered a Polaroid photo printer from Apple. Too bad Amazon didnt have those. Another gripe on modern ink jets from many manufacturers. I have a home office. Therefore, I already own a fax, and two different types of scanners, plus a laser printer. I just needed an inkjet printer to print photos and photos only. All the photo printers on the market, it seems, are three-in-ones. Even though they are relatively inexpensive, I dont want to buy what I do not need. At our beach home, a three-in-one was perfect. Here, just plain useless. Used to, such three-in-one printers did none of the fax/scan/copy/print very well. Not so anymore. However, Id like the choice to just buy a plain old photo printer without all the add ons. I have a nice HP Laserjet networked printer in the home office. I hope I dont have to upgrade it in the near future! When purchasing any brand of ink jet printer these days, buyer beware.

i didnt open this product right away, working way to much when i did open it i was very excited when i put my camer chip into the photo printer nothing but blue screen. i could not print or view my photos. is my chip compatible with the device YES!! i have the exact model but i had it a long time and will not print, but it does show the photos.thats why i purchased this one because its the perfect size. yes i know the printer was used but in the discription it said only used a few times just like new. well they lied. can i get a refund hell no its past 30 days.

I received the order quicker than I thought I would. It came with everything that it said it would and it prints beautifully! Im very happy.

Printer has proven to be EXCELLENT as far as I have used it. Won it in a contest, so Im not complaining. ;) I have printed out some pictures and find the quality to be EXCELLENT. The speed of printing is also fast and the printer prints BORDERLESS photos (which is a handy feature). As with any product there are a few cons. 1) Printer is a PHOTO printer. That means you wont be printing out an 8X10s; you can only print 4X6 photos (but Im expecting you know this already..) 2)Cable to hook to PC is *not* included. If you want to transfer pictures from your computer, dont expect to get a cable with your printer. The cable is sold separately. However, a flash/USB drive will work perfectly.. Just plug the USB drive into your computer, stick the pictures on it, then plug the USB drive into your printer. --------- The printer can recognize MANY different formats, SD cards, USB input devices (photo iPod, flash drive, etc..) Which is very convenient. It can also view the pictures straight from your camera (make sure its compatible, most are..) If youre looking to just print photos and want a light-weight and portable printer, this is the item for you!

I have had this printer many years prior, and when my last bargain photo printer gave up the ghost I decided to return to what was best. Easy to use, excellent color and clarity, top quality for the money.

I have had the 325 model for less than a year. Up until recently I was satisfied with its performance using it to print less than 5 pictures at a time. Recently, I needed to print a series of pictures (more than 10 in one sitting) and had an error message-print cartridge jam-I fixed the paper jam but continued to get the error message. I called HP and they stated this was a fatal error in the unit and encouraged me to purchase the updated model rather than fix my printer. I searched the internet for a solution only to find that others had encountered this and the solution was to purchase the newmodel- A not very cost effective solution as this was not supposted to be a disposable model.

affordable printer that prints a very good quality shot. i have particularly enjoyed working with black and white cartridges. a good buy indeed
