Ive bought several sets of HDMI receivers, transmitters. These are the only ones that work right out of the box. Picture quality is good and stable. I can get USB power from my laptop and projector so no wall warts needed. It comes with one short male-female HDMI extension. You might need another, as the transmitter blocks other jacks on my laptop because it is too wide. I needed the included one for the recessed jacks on the projector.

Its great to have a wireless casting device when I am doing office work at home and need to cast to my TV to see something on a larger screen than my laptop. Super handy tool to have. It is also nice to have when troubleshooting or using projectors. Make sure you dont go over the recommended length, but as long as you stay within that, great to have! Not everywhere has smart TVs yet with casting, and this is a great time/cable saver!

This is great!! I can now use an HDMI connection from my laptop to the TV without using a cable! All you have to do is plug in the TX adapter to your laptops HDMI port, and the RX adapter to your TVs HDMI port, and there you go. Well, its almost that easy. My laptop provides power to the TX adapter, but my TV doesnt provide power to the RX adapter. So I have to also plug in one of the provided USB cables to the RX adapter to give it power. But thats no big deal. I love this thing!

My first mistake was not noticing that there was an HDMI extender cable, which youll probably need for the receiver if youre hooking it up to the TV. Some TVs have hard to reach inputs, or inputs close together where the receiver dongle will not fit. As for the picture quality, its pretty decent, but I had a Chrome browser window open with a few tabs open and the screen was cut off all around the TV. What I mean by that is, I could barely see the bottoms of the open tabs and I could only see about the top 1/3rd of the taskbar. Something that might help you imagine this better is if you were to try to close out the Chrome window with the little X in the upper right hand corner, you wouldnt even see the X, but you could still close the window by navigating off screen a little bit and hope that youre hitting the X. I didnt try doing any resolution adjustments for this particular test (maybe in the future), but that might possibly solve the problem.

I consider myself fairly adept with computers, but I am having problems with this device. I can get video to work almost instantly. There was no need to figure anything out, just plug and play. Audio on the other hand is an issue. First, I had no sound whatsoever. Then I was able to sound only out of my computer and not from my TV where I was broadcasting to. After about 10 minutes of trying to figure it out I gave up. So until I figure the audio out, this will only be used for projecting slides and what not.
