I’ve been using mine for over two years and the only problem I ever have is the occasional miss when more than one circuit share the same neutral. It’s hands down better than the ones made just a few years ago, but when working in hospitals it needs to be 100% accurate.

I found a meter with the case and better pricing.

These work great. Parking lot poles can be a long way away from the breaker panel and these can trace at long distance. Sometimes it can gove you a little false reading, it might hit on other breakers on same phase or sometimes breakers near the actual circuit. But overall this is the best, Especially for commercial electrical work. This is probably overkill for a home owner or residentual electrician though. Ive used these for years as a commercial electrician, highly recommend. Probably the only one I would recommend for 3phase 277/480v systems.

The Receiver (RC-959) battery compartment was broken and the batteries had leaked!!! Therefore, the entire purchase was useless!

Its the best. Use it almost everyday.Saves so much time Im going to start taking longer lunches Works pretty good at underground locating too,They claim its not one of its strong suits but it does ok. If you can afford it get one

I am a professional electrical contractor. Im still learning this tool, but I am convinced of its value. I havent found it 100% reliable in tracking wires, but that might be user error. It has MOSTLY, however, done what I hoped it would. I have traced a U.F. wire underground to a short in a hidden box that I might never have found. I have tracked damaged wire to the exact bolt a carpenter drove through it, and traced it through the drywall one the other side to the precise spot to cut for repair. I have quickly traced circuits back to breaker panels customers forgot they had. I have saved TIME. A LOT of time. Time is money, and you learn that in this industry. Stop wasting time, stop opening up box after box while troubleshooting and looking like a fool. This is a very expensive tool, but I do recommend it if you can swing it.

I highly recommend buying this product. It is user friendly and works great.
