After careful research, including recommendations from various shop owners, we chose the Quantum Edge ID scanner. We have used scanners from other companies in the past, and while some cost less and others more, they cannot compare with the speed and accuracy of the Quantum Edge scanner. Originally when shopping for a device that could help store my customers info and keep up with if they are able to return or not, i was torn between this and a different device. i mean this is a little pricy for me, and i wanted to be sure i was spending that money on something that could fill my needs as descried earlier. once the item arrived i was eager to test it and see if i had made a wise decision or not. I am pleased to say that after testing it on my own license at home all my worries went away. You can pretty much just turn it on and start scanning out of the box. i used it later on that night (this past Saturday) and got more comfortable with the item the more I used it (you basically just push a button and scan an id then repeat on the next). I havent used it enough to know if there is anything i dont like with it but so far it all seems good. I called for support this Monday just for clarification to a question I had. the support was super courteous, fast, and helpful. they even offered to instruct me on how to set it up on my computer as well since they were already on the phone (usually support is trying to get off the phone). so long story short dont worry about this device if you are having a hard time deciding. ill leave my pros/cons thoughts now. Pros- seems to be made of very good quality, it is definitely professional looking, it captures all the info plus some that i am interested in for my application (bar/club business), support is top notch, easy to use. I havent used it enough to know any cons about it. ive used and played with it a good bit and so far like everything about it. if i do find anything i dont like ill return and post it. bottom line, if you are looking for a device that can quickly and easily scan ids and store/ remember the info or for it to do whatever it says it is able to do, then get it!!

I love this device, it scans licenses and passports with a quick notification to allow entry or deny. Mike, is fantastic at the company.
