> 24 hourAfter changing the battery a second time it stopped working. It looks like contact for the battery is loose now so its dead. Its ok for a while, I wouldnt rely on it for anything important.

> 24 hourOk, I know that on the lower-end, some of these calipers really cant hold zero or arent repeatable, but if you hunt around, you can find really good models, like the 6 Neiko one I originally had... and lost... which led me here to this one. I knew the Neiko wasnt lost as in gone but lost as in its somewhere in my da*n (thats darn for the censors!) house. Thats why rather than ordering a second 6 Neiko, I figured since Id find that eventually, Id try something new, with a larger screen. If it stunk, Id eventually find my other unit (which I did moments after placing this order BTW!) and if it was good, Id have a spare!

> 24 hourSuper useful gauge. Fit and finish appears great, accurate as far as I can tell. Tips of gauges have a very thin portion which is great for measuring the shaft of a wood screw (between the threads) to determine the proper drill bit for a pilot hole.

> 24 hourThis is slick. I dont have to convert using any calculator, or in my head. What every I want to measure, just push the button to change between metric and english. The the fraction reading is fantastic. Need to see what size drill you have or need, just measure it and go to fractions. Bingo, instant reading. You can also zero the thing mid ruler so as to compare between 2 parts. I love it.

> 24 hourI received this instrument about an hour ago, and have been doing some testing the check the accuracy, ease of use, etc. I think this is the very first product review I have ever done, but I am impressed with this item, and wanted to give credit to the company. I dont claim to be an expert in evaluating the accuracy, and my method was to use two sets of feeler gauges and also some Mitutoyo gage blocks, grade 0. Although i did not do serial measurements at different lengths, I am so far impressed with the accuracy of this extremely reasonably priced tool. At one inch at least, all the measurements were dead on. I will do a more extensive testing at a later date and update after I have used the caliper in actual work environments. And i also want to ad something subjective here: the calipers simply feel like quality, with smooth travel opening and closing, good heft, and a high quality finis. This really does get a very strong recommendation from me. Im sure that there would be some differences between this and a Mitutoyo or Starrett, but for my needs nothing that would warrant spending well over $100. Especially for a general shop environment, this is a great value.
