I also have cheap Chinese caliper and this one is way too much higher quality.

Its no Mitutoyo or Brown and Sharpe, but it is an absolutely outstanding Caliper! Consistent, accurate, and an overall great value for the price. It feels a little gravelly out of the box, but becomes smoother with use. Very reliable!

Pretty happy with this. Its a bit better than my $35 caliper from the hardware store. Probably not pro-grade in any sense, but for the home mechanic with a day job this is just fine. You can measure bolts, holes, stock, tubing, whatever and generally trust the measurements. Consider it a step up from rulers and vernier calipers (of dubious HF quality, that is). Quick to read, easy to use, works in metric, fractional inches, and decimal inches. Its all I need.

These are pretty awesome compared to the Harbor Freight one I used to use.

Ive used one of these for a couple of years on my 3D printer and its been fantastic. I just bought a second for my CNC as well, theyre just too useful.

The teeth and lcd are same size as 6inch and not proportionately smaller.. it’s just 2 inch shorter scale that makes it difficult to hold.. also was much stiffer... 6inch one is pure awesome ...4inch not so much...
