> 24 hourJust bought this and it was working great but we soon noticed that the spigot (where the liquid comes out) would get stuck and spill out. We had to knock/hit the spigot for the spigot to close. Not sure what the issue is but were assuming sugary drinks can cause the spigot to get sticky and stuck?

> 24 hourFirst, the bad. The lid is tethered to the cooler which is great to keep it from being lost, but a real pin when trying to wash the cooler out. Since I like that the tether prevents the lid from walking off with a mini me, I deal with it flipping around as I try to wash it in the sink. Now for the good, or should I say great. I’m not sure how well this will do with keeping ice from a bag you get at the grocery store or gas station, but the ice we put in lasted a freaking week! Okay, so there are a few factors that helped it along, but boy howdy was I surprised. One of the factors was kind of cheating in a way. While this was a camping trip, that only accounted for half the time, the last few days were in our house where I left it just to see how long the ice would last. The largest contribution to the longevity of our ice was preparing solid blocks, at least in my opinion. We took Tupperware containers that would fit inside the cooler and froze drinking water in them. After putting a few of those ice bricks in, we filled it with water and loaded up. Lenny of ice cold water on supply for our few days camping as well as the rest of the week when we got home. Obviously results may vary, but man, if you try the solid bricks of frozen drinking water like I did, I doubt you will be disappointed in this cooler.

> 24 hourI installed this on my landscape trailer, and keeps the ice cold for a long time, however, the valve sticks on it sometimes, and it leaks water. It did this from day one.

> 24 hourThis Igloo beverage cooler turned to be a good investment. Three of us have been engaging in heavy physical labor during 90+ degree temperatures taking down dead and fallen trees, cutting and stacking logs and clearing underbrush on a large piece of land. Since the property is vacant there is no water connection. To remain hydrated, as we soaked our work clothes with perspiration, we had been buying bottled water for our worksite and icing it in a Styrofoam cooler but that was not only costly but wasteful. We then had to recycle the empty water bottles. This cooler appeared to be a good alternative. Before using this cooler, I washed it with dish detergent and rinsed it thoroughly. I then added about 2.5 gallons of water, stopped at grocery store on the way to our job site, picked up a small 10 pound bag of ice and dumped into this cooler. Having this cooler at the job site provided us with all of the ice cold water we all needed. Even though this cooler was in full sun most of our 92 degree day enough ice remained in this cooler to keep the water cold past the end of our workday. I might add that the water from this cooler tastes as good as the bottled water we were buying. This cooler, in my opinion, is an ideal portable source of drinking water for a small work crew, athletes or picnickers.
