> 3 dayThe garbage disposal switch in our new home was situated under the sink in our kitchen island. I installed this switch to the front of my cabinet so I didn’t have to open the cabinet door every time I needed to run the disposal. I ended up buying the additional white button so it didn’t stand out as much.

11-06-2025Works really well and mounts in a 1-1/4” or 1-3/8” standard hole. Easy to install. I do not like that you are forced to buy stainless steel color and then a color matched button for an additional cost which is why I deducted one star.

> 3 dayIt works like it should and better than installing a power switch ina new home for the GD.

Greater than one weekLove the setup for starting the Insinkerator disposal. Not a switch (thankfully) but a button on the front of the sink. Perfect!!

> 3 dayAn air switch? Really? I was skeptical. This is my second one. I have been using the first for over a year and it’s great. I’m installing a second sink and immediately bought another one of these switches. It sits right in the counter so it’s right where you need it (and great for island sinks where you can’t put a wall switch anyway). You can use it with wet finger without worrying about electricity, because there isn’t any. The electricity is down in the cabinet, and the switch works with a small air hose. It really works. After a year, it has never failed or accidentally disconnected. I’m installing a second one instead of wiring a switch in the wall for my new sink. Also, it’s a lot cheaper here than at Lowe’s, where I got the first one.

> 3 dayOur handyman recommended this to us. And he installed it. Didn’t seem to take him long. I wish I knew about it earlier. The switch to our insinkerator is about 33 inches away from the center of the sink. Now it’s just 4 inches away from the faucet. Love this!

> 3 dayIf you install a single unswitched AC circuit you can connect both the disposal and the hot water dispenser to the same outlet. (According to my electrician and local codes.) When the disposal is on, the hot water dispenser switches off. Without this the disposal would need a switched circuit and the hot water dispenser would need a dedicated unswitched circuit.
