I mainly use this CPU to play Minecraft. I am not using an external GPU, and it looks and runs great. I cant use ray tracing, nor did I expect to. I ran a benchmark test and it did really well on the CPU score. I paired it with 16 gig of RAM so the internal GPU would have plenty to share. The ASUS H510M-A motherboard I used did not require a BIOS update. To me thats a big deal. Intel CPUs are good products, and I recommend this one big time.

The latest i5 Rocket Lake absolutely crushes my old 9th gen i7! Its just a bit of a shame that the Intel UHD 750 graphics isnt as good as the Xe graphics featured in Tiger Lake laptops.

I wanted more power in my self built TRUE NAS system. This did the trick. Now I have plenty of power for the NAS in my 2.5 Gb network. No more heat problems, plenty of power, and its fast!

Very happy with the purchase. Upgraded my old work pc to get this and built a new one. 6 cores and 12 threads is actually fast for a work pc and just what I needed for heavy multi tasking work.

I bought this to build an office computer: word processing, web browsing, watching movies, and the like (no gaming, rendering, music production, or video processing). It works great for its intended purposes and I would highly recommend this processor. Since its not used for the aforementioned other tasks, I cant rate it based on those uses.

This is a great processor for the money, around 150. I built 2 desktops at the same time, one using Arctic Silver paste, the included Intel cpu cooler and the other using the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO V2. With room temp about 73 degrees F, the Cooler Master keeps the processor about 10-15 degrees C cooler at idle and the stock fan will let the processor shoot up to almost 90 degrees just when doing simple Windows updates. Definitely buy an after market CPU cooler! Runs Steam and EA games without any issues. Installed them in MSI Gaming Force Carbon motherboards with 16G of Crucial Vengeance RAM.
