After 5 years without assembling a pc i find this a really good investment for casual gamers, i straight replaced the stock cooler for a Coolermaster 212 evo.

The mounting system is bad, I did the diagonal push method but the last corner wont go in even with large amounts of force. The cooler is vital for gaming so now it underperforms in every scenerio.

Great 6 core chip for just about everything. Very good gaming performance. Will not bottleneck your GPU. Even if you have a 30803070 Ti, or a 6800 6800XT this CPU will deliver great performance. I have bought 2 so far and I even paired them with a budget ASRock B660 motherboard and still performed at highest speeds with 135W PL2. This CPU will definitely last a good 5 years since it has great IPC performance and is compatible with DDR5 RAM. All this for approx $180-220 is a bargain. If you dont need to overclock or dont want to spend a great deal of money this is the CPU for you. Will provide much better performance per dollar on a long term basis than the 12100-12300 4 cores CPUs.

Intel secretly locked vccsa so your ram cant work stably if you turn on xmp. They claim it can work with 3200mhz ram, however my machine crashed so many times. I just set 3000mhz and it cant work. 5600x should be better than this silicon garbage

Paired this with a 3080 which I was told was going to bottleneck the 3080. Thats probably true, but if youre fine with consistent 165 Hz across all games, you dont really need to go extra with CPU power. The value of increases in frame rate diminishes drastically past 165 hz.

I used this in a PC build. The fan was perfect, the CPU runs at 35 C. Benchmarks were very fast. Not used for gaming so didnt add graphics card. Perfect for my needs.

great processor if you are on a budget for a gaming PC or just need an everyday computer for work or play. Pair this up with any mid-range GPU and you will have a great PC for the next 4-5yrs without regret.
