07-04-2025Intel secretly locked vccsa so your ram cant work stably if you turn on xmp. They claim it can work with 3200mhz ram, however my machine crashed so many times. I just set 3000mhz and it cant work. 5600x should be better than this silicon garbage

> 3 dayYou get more cores than an i3 based cpu. If you want to save a lot, you could go with a 12100f, but I think you get a lot of value with this cpu. You get the faster pcie lanes and more of them compared to the 10th and 11th gen cpus. And you can use a single fan low profile heatsink and fan with this and get around 75c temperatures during cpu stress tests. When the 13400 comes out though, this might not be worth it depending on the price it comes out with, but for now you get a great value and great performance.

> 3 dayLovely cooler, looks efficient. It should have a backplate in the box for it. Unfortunately, it shipped without a backplate, and dealing with Intel support, they had me recount the same problem three times three different ways before telling me they were going to contact *management* to see *if* they could replace it, and told me I should consider RMAing it back through Amazon. What the heck? In other words, if I dont get an email by tomorrow afternoon from a call center manager Im supposed to return the whole thing to Amazon and buy a different processor. Thats nuts!

Greater than one weekI love it. Its a great addition to my pc. I knew what I was getting too so I knew you cant over clock it. But it runs great and the stock cpu cooler is solid (I suggest upgrading obviously). But its exactly what I wanted!

> 3 dayMy old 2015 amd cpu/gpu pc build, the FX 8350 cpu died. so i decided to build a intel/nvidia game pc this time. i wasnt looking for oc cup so i got the 12400. i was more worried about the mb but it worked on second boot, gpu didnt boot correctly on first try so i reboot and it worked. so far the 12400 is working great, just like a new pc should with no issues. for $180 i would recommend 12400 which should last for years since its ddr5 compatible for next gen.
