> 3 dayArrives in bubble wrap, not in an original Intel box. And the top shell of the CPU chip is missing. Obviously a used one and someone tried to open the CPU (maybe for better cooling). Will return.

> 3 dayMontata con MB Z390, è la più piccola cpu che abbia montato, ma devo dire che con OV medio ho raggiunto prestazioni da I7 mica male!!! se pensi anche che tieni a mano anche 100 euri.... bene bene!

> 3 dayDie Post hatte den CPU etwas verspätet geliefert, aber ansonsten ist alles gut angekommen und er ist im PC ohne zicken zumachen.

> 3 dayHavent seen idle temps this low since my 2600k thanks to the internal thermal material. Under a custom water loop from EK, from what Ive seen so far, they wont crack 30 degrees, even after being ran all day and gaming all day. Always stays under 30 idle. Easily over clocks to 5 GHz as well to get those benchmark scores a little higher. Workstation-level of needs will most likely need to go with some more cores, however. Really happy with this new chip overall since I didnt/dont require 16 threads. One of the top chips for gamers right now from what Ive seen.

> 3 daySince Ive always used stock Intel coolers, I was irritated that the new line of Intel CPUs dont come with a cooler. I finally decided to get over it, and figured it would give me an opportunity to research and install my first third-party CPU cooler. My previous i5 build lasted nearly five years (-5-4440), and the itch to upgrade was strong, so I did the deed and built a new system around this CPU. I paired it with a MSI Z390 Gaming Plus motherboard, 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz DDR4 RAM, and a Noctua NH-U9s CPU cooler. The MSI board offers a very simple overclocking tool, and almost immediately I was running at 4.6ghz on the CPU and 3000mhz on the memory. The system stays at about 38C when doing basic tasks (web-browsing, music playing, etc.), and climbs up to about 60C under intense gaming - much better than the 56C/98C my old CPU would reach under respective conditions. The system is also very quiet. Heres hoping this CPU lasts five years like the last i5 I had did!

> 3 dayI was really debating for a long time whether to go with Intel or AMD. I know that lately AMD offers SKUs with very strong capabilities and good price points that made my decision making process very complicated. In reality, many of us do not need the workstation horsepower of the AMD Ryzen or the i9 9900k. I surf the web, day trade, play Need-for-Speed and Hitman, and this I5 9600k is so good. I overclocked it to 5.1 and 5.2, run the Cinnebench R15 and R20 and the system is stable. The max uncore I achieved is 48. It does not go higher than that. For 5.2 Mhz, I have to increase the power in order to be stable. I have not crashed it on 5.0 and 5.1 Mhz, but for 5.2, I have to play with the power settings. I do not play multiplayer online games, so I hear that this CPU is not good for that. If you are thinking to play in such environment, you should either opt for i7 9700k/ i9 9900k. I still think that AMDs zen 1 and zen 2 are very good CPUs and their price point is way better than Intel, so it is difficult to choose one. I know that AMD requires more expensive RAM modules, but you can go with a cheaper b450 mother board, so you can build an overall better machine for the money. On the other hand, I use very specialized software and I do not want to run into optimization issues. If you ask me whether I would buy this CPU again. My answer is, I need to check my EGO first, which is bigger than I want it to be. In reality, this CPU is way above for what I need it. My system is about 60% faster than my 4th i7 CPU.
