Many reviews mention they received a tampered with box. The Made in Vietnam version of this cpu arrives in a box that has its tamper seal printed backwards -- meaning the paint that is supposed to come off when you rip open the seal is printed on the outside of the seal, so the paint wears out from rubbing against other boxes in shipment and against shipping material, which makes it appear that the box was opened. It however was not and the cpu is brand new. I purchase multiple Intel chips and I noticed this right away after reading the reviews and receiving my cpu with a rubbed out seal too -- if you use your nail you can see that the paint will come right off -- however if you open the seal it will not stay on the box since it is printed on the outside of the seal. Hence, the CPUs are not tampered with, just an issue with how they created those seals. As to the misalignment of the cpu in the box -- this is something that almost always happens in Intel cpus and is not something to be wary of. The CPU i received performs top notch on a z490 motherboard, with 4889 R20 score.

Initial review. Just received the product. Shipping box was in great shape. Intel box looked okay, except for that the seal has already been opened (see images). The white informational tape was undisturbed, but the factory seal tape has clearly been opened and retaped - notice the letters missing. Notice too how the chip is off center of the lid.

Bought this product from micro-center , an ABSOLUTE BEAST , if you wanna save money Id rather just get this cpu instead of the 10700K there is barely a Difference and holy cow huge upgrade 10TH Gen is just Next level i love it !!!

Not much to dislike with this card. Good for gaming, streaming and editing. Paired it with a good air cooler and its fairly around 60c to 65c under load. That turbo tho! 4.6 speed handles all my gaming other thangs.

I purchased this cpu as part of a build for a client. I was very impressed with the price to performance ratio. Intel didnt change the OEM cpu cooler much except a slightly newer fan. This cpu at stock speeds is a powerhouse. This was deployed to a business, not a gaming rig, so keep that in mind. That being said, with an upgraded PSU and a discrete video card it could be.

This was a upgrade from my 7th gen!! Oh boy this was a great jump from just the 7th gen i7, very happy with the performance. It runs very cool ( I am running a liquid cooler however) but have not needed to overclock yet! ;)
