> 3 dayHovers around 30° even while playing games on high graphics all night even with my cheap cooling fan, no problem keeping up with many programs open I don’t think I’ve seen it past 12% use in task manager so far

> 3 dayIve had this overclocked at 5.0 GHz for a couple weeks now and it hasnt skipped a beat. I bought an MSI Z690 MPG Edge Motherboard to pair with this beast of a chip. Keep in mind, it does NOT come with a cooler so make sure you have a reputable thermal paste and a solid cooler to pair with this. I have a pre-filled watercooler (Corsair Hydro Series H115i Pro) which is giving me temps idle as low as 19°C (not joking, look at the picture). Under full load, I have yet to hit over 50°C even gaming at 1440p (2k resolution). If Im being quite honest, this CPU is overkill for gaming. If you have the extra money, go for it. If not, a i5-12600k will be just as powerful for less money.

Greater than one weekLost the silicon lottery. My CPU doesnt clock as high as advertised out of the box. Requires very extreme over lock settings to achieve 5 ghz.

> 3 dayI undervolted the CPU -0.12 offset which lowered core package from 73c to 62c at 141W in Cinebench R23 for 22957 score (which is average for a 12700k). Watched videos from JayzTwoCents and The Tech Thing Guy on undervolting. One thing that you WILL run into if you plan on liquid cooling with any of the big brand AIOs is that they all say LGA 1700 compatible but none of them actually ship with the LGA 1700 bracket for some reason, you have to turn around and contact the company and theyll send you a free bracket in 2-6 weeks. Thats why I ended up getting the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 (which turned out to be amazingly great, check the review on Gamers Nexus), because you can buy the free LGA 1700 bracket for $7 here on Amazon and skip all the hassle/delay of getting one sent for free afterwards.
