Runs faster than a first gen threadripper and it has integrated graphics which helped with troubleshooting on my build. Overall quality gaming experience on 1440p with dedicated graphics. And might handle minecraft without one and no mods at 1080p.

After reading reviews of the I9-12900k, this seems like a better choice to me regardless of price. I am seeing very little difference in single threaded benchmarks, and maybe 15-18% faster multi threaded performance on the I9-12900k. But that comes at the price of using a lot more power and hitting over 90 degrees Celsius in some cases on temperatures when stress testing. While I dont normally overclock my system, I bet you could likely hit those performance numbers with an overclock on the 12700K if you really wanted to.

This is a very quick CPU, but it runs hot. Doesnt come with a heatsink. I used a Noctuna double radiator

Pas de problème au montage : jai monté un ventirad noctua NHU12A : quand le proc travaille à 100%, il reste sous les 80°C. En fonctionnement normal, lensemble est silencieux. Attention si la CM marche à la DDR5 : cest 2 fois le prix de la DDR5.

I was deciding between i7-12700k and the i5-13600k.

Coming from an AMD Ryzen 3700X. For my workflow and use (heavy video editing/rendering & general computing), this CPU rocks. I was surprised to see some operations taking half the time to complete. The difference between waiting a half hour instead of an entire hour is a game-changer for me.

Built my own computer and this was key to making it work. Great value. Happy with my purchase.

I put together a gaming PC collecting parts over time as I had funds to purchase. Finally put it all together and it ran well for about 2 weeks and then I began having blue-screen crashes. Now it wont even complete a windows install on a clean drive without crashing. Tried two mother boards, 6 memory sticks, 3 NVMe drives, and two power supplies before being forced to realize the processor is causing my issue. I am now out of the quick return path grace period and must try to RMA through Amazon. If you buy one of these chips, or any part for that matter, use it right away in case it is a bad part.
