> 3 dayIntels 13th gen is a very strong contender and the i7 this time around is all the overkill I needed. While the i5 works great for gaming the extra cores in the i7 make it even better for game streaming or production workloads like video editing, It can be a little power hungry but uses that power to overclock extremely well, but thanks to the efficiency cores when you are sitting idle runs with very low power.

> 3 dayIf you are looking to get the best gaming experience with the decent price and not getting poor processing power, this is your option, you get the flagship power with lower price than competitor.

Greater than one weekI went with this Core i7 13700k processor (Team Blue) and took the plunge to Team Red (AMD) from Team Green (NVIDIA). I recently went from my RTX 3090 Ti to a new RX 7900 XTX and let me tell you, I can definitely see a huge difference. My previous processor was a Core i9 12900k and I honestly didnt think I would see a huge difference between the 2. The numbers tell the story. Between the processor upgrade and GPU upgrade I am getting about 15% better on my FPS in Warzone 2.0. That is really the only game I play so I really focus on hardware with lower latency all around. Low Lat memory, Low Lat Processor, GPU, monitor and of course internet.

> 3 dayMany folks go for i9s in whichever series intel brings out at regular intervals while I have preferred to either go 5s or 7s (cant imagine a scenario Id need a 9 since I primarily do 1080p gaming irrespective if its a AAA game or indie or some blast from the past from GOG). Wouldve stuck with 10th gen had that prebuilt machine not gone awry. Heating wise this can get hot so invest in at least a 240 or 280 AIO while a powerful air cooler can also get things manageable (maybe from deepcool, noctua, bequiet, etc). If using a less chonky air cooler then do some undervolting to prevent overheating. I have no complaints with this 13700k. Thanks Amazon and DHL.

> 3 dayfirst this cpu is fast, the speed at which everything gets done is mind blowing for the price. But you better have really good cooling for this beast, especially if you OC it, full custom loop water with 2 360s and it will still get to 100c easy. the big let down with it, and all 12th and 13th gen intels is the ILM mount, it will bend the CPU causing poor contact with your cooler or worse bad contact with the pins, this can be corrected with a TG frame and some lapping but then youll void the warranty, but if you dont mind that you can greatly reduce the temps.

> 3 dayRunning it at 5.3GHz on all 8 P cores and boost to 5.7Ghz on two P cores, 4.3Ghz on E cores using Adaptive voltage MSI Lite Load Line 2 and LLC8. CB23 voltages are 1.148v and temps are under 90C using Noctua nh-U12A. CPU is an absolute champ. 13700K is basically the sweet-spot for CPUs.

> 3 dayThis was the first Generation 13 processor we used in a build. Of course the actual build procedure is no different than before so not much can be said for that. Our test show it is about 9% faster than its same-numbered 12th generation. The other thing we did see from our tests is that again 12th vs.13th the newer processor appears to run about 2°-3° C lower in temperature under somewhat similar conditions. All in all, obviously we will be doing our building going forward with 13 series processors we cant see justification for anyone taking their i9-12900k out and installing i9-13900k. The gains would probably not be really experienced.

> 3 dayHave my gaming machine running in native with my work VM running I parallel without a sweat. All these cores makes it a breeze for the machine almost never maxing out when performing multiple tasks. Worth the money as you’re getting 4 machines performance in one.
