> 3 dayThe CPU worked right out of the box and it was easy to install. I upgraded from an i7-6700K and to be honest, I cant tell much of a difference. The boost speed works once you set it correctly in the motherboard settings, otherwise it will never boost to 4.9GHz. Most of my games are running on high/ultra paired with a GTX 1070. However, I can barely see the difference between this CPU and the i7-6700k. There might be a slight jump in FPS but not really. One minute the game is running at 130, then the next its down to 90 (at least for one game). In CS:GO the game gets anywhere between 260 lowest and 300 highest, averaging at about 280. The CPU seems to hold up fairly well with After Effects. If youre looking to upgrade your CPU from a 6th gen, Id say hold off, save your money. Youre not going to notice that much of a jump, at least I didnt. The CPU also runs a little hot on idle. The product is nice and definitely worth it, I just wish it was a more noticeable upgrade.
