> 3 dayI use these for connecting IP cameras. I use short cables in the camera, then use these to connect the cameras to the main network - that way I dont have to disassemble the camera to disconnect the cable while servicing.

Greater than one weekThere is nothing outstanding about these couplers in relation to any others. Straight through.

Greater than one weekOver the last 30 years I have punched down a lot more patch panels than I like and I have never really been a fan of inline couplers, but I am beginning to see the benefits of them. In the past, I have had way too many punch downs have connectors break off or pull loose whenever I have had to change ports/relocate connectors/add wires -- even when the cables were properly secured with cable ties. And, when the cables are all secured to one end, you pretty much have to loosen all of them to work on any of them -- which risks having to retest that entire panel row and potentially have to redo a bunch of punchdowns. Recently, I have been playing with panels that use standard keystone slots instead of punchdown blocks and I am rapidly becoming a fan of them. Typically I have been using standard keystone punchdowns with them rather than couplers like these, but although that simplifies things immensely already, getting to the back to release a keystone from the panel can still be a pretty big pain at times -- however, using couplers like these means that I can leave the keystone in place and just unhook the cable from the back and move it to another spot as needed, without the risk of damaging any other connections in the panel. I have also found these work pretty well in in-wall LV boxes, though for those I still probably will use standard punchdowns (and while these work in open back LV boxes, be aware that the combination of the coupler and the cable is too long for a lot of standard depth, closed back electrical boxes). About the only real negatives for using these in a punchdown rack is the added time and expense of having to put RJ45 connectors on the ends of all your cables -- which does usually take more time than just loading up a punchdown. The only other potential problem would be with the added impedance of the connector, though I have not seen a problem in practice at least up to 2.5GbE using CAT6. Even if you arent planning to use these in a keystone panel or wall jack, they still make very good in-line couplers and it can be quite convenient to keep a few handy just in case. Overall, these seem to fit fine in the keystones I have on hand, my network cables fit snugly in the jacks, and they have had no signal issues that I have seen. I also like that these are available in other colors besides yellow, which means that I can segment out different blocks on the panel. After having to fix connections on standard punchdowns far too often in cases where I had to make changes later, I am really beginning to think these and a keystone style panel are worth looking into. So, if you are planning a patch panel that may need to be updated or added to frequently in the future, Id definitely check these out.

> 3 dayThese Cat6 RJ45 connectors work as expected in my gigabyte network. The contacts are gold plated to insure a good connection that wont deteriorate due to oxidation over time. They are not shielded.

> 3 dayThis is a great Keystone Jack that requires no punch down. Easy usage for just about anybody that needs a network cable connected, basically just plug and play. Snaps perfecly into a Keystone wall plate or patch panel. you can just buy the length of already terminated cable you need and plug it in requiring no toos for punchdown or termanation.

> 3 dayThese keystone jacks are great. I like that they can be used as a coupler to extend network cables. They are very easy to install into a wall plate and fits perfectly, no punch tool needed to install the cable on the back of the jack. They are well made. The clip is not weak at all. I pulled and pushed on the jack and no budge at all. I read some reviews that said the clip is weak and easy to push out. The wall plate insert I’m using is made by Leviton a good name brand. Maybe others are using a different brand plate that was not made well. I’m using these jacks with Cat5e network cables and they work great. I don’t have any Cat6 cables. I like them and I would not hesitate to get them again.
