> 3 dayThere is nothing I did not like about this easel. It arrived promptly. Is heavy enough to hard larger canvas. Easy to adjust. The wood is nice. Folds flat for easy transport.

> 3 dayIve replaced my old stand up easel with this one. Ive put it on top of a small drawer unit, so I get a better easel plus art supply storage and can still stand to paint!

> 3 dayI am a professional artist and I work in both paint and pastels. I wanted an easel that could hold both my drawing board or a canvas. I also work on large scale canvases and I needed a table easel that could hold large canvases. This one does it all. It is super sturdy, with a wide base. It has a grove in both the lower and upper shelves for a drawing board and little plastic bump pieces to hold a canvas in place without the lip edge of the shelf covering the edge of the canvas. The lower shelf adjusts upward which is a game changer and makes it so much easier to move my work up to eye level. If you work on a table surface like me and need to spread out all your tools this is your easel. You won’t regret buying it. It also doesn’t slide across the easel when I place pressure on the canvas/board while working. The best investment.

Greater than one weekId been looking for a quality easel for the table top, and Richesons are the best. I love the lyptus wood and it matches the brush holder I have from them of the same wood. Wonderful addition to my studio.

Greater than one weekIts the perfect size for what I need. The bottom, (along with the top) canvas holders can be raised up, unlike most tabletop easels, and the plastic stops on the top and bottom keep your full canvas workable--in other words, you dont lose about an overlapping quarter inch off your canvas tucked inside the top and bottom canvas holders. Its a little pricey, but if you love painting, I highly recommend it.

Greater than one weekThe width that holds the canvas is about 21, not sure where they are measuring 18 from...leaning against the wall on the floor completely closed it is about 29 high by 6.5 deep. The wood is sturdy no doubt, looks good, no chips or cracks, quality is good, did have a few slivered top pieces of wood splinter off so I glued it. The knobs do tighten and work well. This to me looks as big and heavy as a standard H frame with basically the legs cut off to look shorter to fit on your table. All the girth of a standard H frame being shorter. I have a regular H frame, and I think this is just as big and heavy without the height. If you put this on a table, the bottom will not drop down, you can adjust it up no problem. Pull the top up, where it feels sturdy I feel about a 38 maximum height for a canvas. You could easily put a 24x30 on here and I think it would be pretty sturdy. I would use this for average 16x20 or above, maybe down to an 11x14. If you regularly paint in smaller than that size I would look for a smaller easel myself, this to me seems pretty heavy , not really for say pulling out to set on a dining room table or for a simple desk, this is more for a studio. If you compared to say some of the standard tabletop easels with the little side drawer, this would be considered XL. I do think this is great for people who need something real sturdy, who have a big enough table to accommodate a 21 width, plus a place to set paint and brushes, tools.... I think like others, this would last and hold up for many years.
