Great speaker set for the price, I would say a subwoofer is necessary if youre using this setup for movies. Great sound quality with slightly bumped bass and treble. Build quality is slightly lacking, there are some slight anomalies. I do wish it came with the larger center channel, some voices can seem a bit chesty. Overall a very fun speaker set with high value for money.

Excellent and bright. An upgrade from entry level 5 surround but needs the addition of a subwoofer. Good transparency and separation.

Look great/sound great. BUT they soak up the power. Definitely had to add a sub for my tastes.

This 5 piece speaker set is amazing for the price. It sounds clear, rich, at every sound level I have tried. Music sounds better, movies sound like I am at a movie theater. I am using a Onkyo sub from my previous setup, along with a cheap Sony sub. It still sounds great and I am certain that upgrading to a better sub or subs would just increase the quality I am looking at speakers stands for the front S803s as they are not at the optimal height. “Z” reviews and cheapaudioman on YouTube are the reviews that inspired me to get these. Watch them or check out the other reviews on YouTube

Its hard to find this kind of value. I actually sold the S801s that come in the package for $100 here locally in classifieds. So I got 3 pieces for basically $150 with tax. Thats hard to beat. This set along with the Jamo C910 subwoofer is outstanding. Looks great, Sounds Great and its dirt cheap. hard to beat this setup.

Maybe some of you are rich bachelors with 5,000 sq/ft mansions, if so go get your $2,000 monster speakers with a $3,000 receiver to match. The rest of us will LOVE this speaker set (paired with a nice $620 Yamaha receiver from Costco). This replaces a 16-year old surround sound system. The back channel speakers are phenomenal and the fronts blow away our movie watching and sports. The center channel was called “too small” in some reviews, but in my 9’ by 13’ sunroom/media room it is perfect and we get to skip the sub-titles now! We like the white cabinets and wood accents so we left the grey grills off. Either look you choose, you won’t be disappointed by the sound of these quality (yet affordable) speakers!

When bought on sale this is a hard speaker set to beat for the price, great sound for a HT on a budget. Add a subwoofer, run your HT speaker setup and enjoy great HT sound on a budget. 11 out of 10 would buy over a soundbar.

the little 801s are decent, a bit better overall than the Klipsch 41s. they are obviously lacking a little base, but overall sound quality is clean. i will be using them as rear surrounds at some point, but as computer monitors, they are excellent. the center channel i am not needing so cannot comment but no doubt also sounds good. the 803s are on the wall either side of my tv and are front ported, running off amazon cables and an onkyo, very clean but when running heavily dynamic tracks, they sound a smidge muffled only due to the wall placement. if on stands, they image and sound very good.

I consider myself a “budget” audiophile, and for the money spent here, I can’t imagine getting a better sound. Sure, they don’t come with a subwoofer, or the Atmos modules but it’s still excellent value. I ordered the white ones which arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. I separately ordered the Atmos modules from another vendor. By mistake, the seller on Amazon sent me a 8” Jamo subwoofer instead of the 5.0 speaker kit at first but Amazon shipped out the correct speakers the following day after I inquired. Even though I had planned to use a larger subwoofer, I decided to try the Jamo subwoofer since it was a free return anyway. In the small man-cave I have this system setup in, I’m more than happy with the overall performance of the entire system and will be contacting Amazon again to arrange keeping the subwoofer. One thing to note is that I originally intended to use this system to replace my Pioneer Andrew Jones speakers in our living room but these Jamo speakers did not sound as good on the Pioneer Elite receiver. Once I moved them into my man-cave and connected them to my smaller Marantz, they sounded much better. These speakers do have a v-curve frequency range which is not my preference but with movies, powered by my Marantz receiver, they do sound great. I’m very happy with them, especially considering I’m all in on 8 great sounding speakers for under $500.
