It sounds great but the bass on the top end gets a little rough.

The treble is rich and the speaker is not too bassy, like most portable speakers on the market. The new 10W tweeter made a good difference on sound quality. And the signature jbl startup/shutdown sound is satisfying. I would vote this over the Bose soundlink flex

When I opened the box I found a JBL charge 4 speaker, wrong color, no cables. Really disappointing. Not new.

After 1 year my husbands charge 5 would randomly turn on and off I tried resetting it and it still doesn’t work. Since it’s past the limited warranty nothing we can do to get it fixed and for the price to get it looked at we could by a whole new speaker. Really loved the brand until this happened.
