I have a different stand with a heavy base that contributes to better stability, but interferes with portability. It is also 30% more expensive. This item is the perfect balance of sturdiness and portability at a reasonable price. The two arms maintain there position well. There are rubbery dots in the four corners of both the top and base plates to assist with grip. There is good depth of the holding brackets to keep the laptop from slipping off. At its current price of less than $20, this is a worthwhile investment to improve laptop ergonomics on the go.

I use a monitor and my laptop screen at the same time. The stand is convenient because I can raise and angle my laptop to just the right height for me to conveniently use both screens without straining my neck or wrists (since I use my laptop keyboard). It not only raises up and down but you can tilt it as well. It’s pretty versatile that way. My toddler loves to use it as a book stand when we are reading stories. It’s sturdy and blends in nicely with my black desk and black laptop. It’s also a space saver because you can store things under the laptop. I use to place my laptop on a box and now I’m wishing I had found this long time ago.

I like this laptop stand; it took me a minute to figure out how to open it but, in the end, I am happy with the product. You have to put some strength to open it up and also the right angle to keep it from tipping over. I watch tv on my laptop in bed so the sturdiness is very sensitive to movement.

I LOVEEE this stand! The color is beautiful and very sturdy for an average laptop. Unfortunately my laptop is old and way too heavy so I had to return but this is perfect for anyone with a newer, lighter laptop!

Does the job

I bought this and two other brands/similar product for holding MIDI controllers and this is the one with the best features overall. It has the best adjustment and durability. Will definitely buy again if I need more for the future setup.
