Bought this for my 11 yr old son when riding dirt bikes and Im pleasantly surprised at how good it works. Hes not racing, just trails and easy sand tracks as he learns to ride and this vest is perfect for it. He has tested it with a couple of tumbles and so far it provides good protection, is light weight, and does not shift around while riding. He is approx 4 1/2 ft tall and 85 lbs and a large fits about right.

I bought this for my gangly skinny-as-a-rail 8-year-old. It fit him perfectly and he is pleased as punch with it.
