Excellent product

This review is for the stand only. I bought this to replace the gooseneck and suction cup stand that came with my USB Pluggable microscope a while back. Had to use a little bit of card stock in the front to get it to center properly in the holder but it works great! Can now easily zoom in or out w/o worrying about the suction cup giving out or the microscope getting off-center. Have had no problem with it tipping over. If I did though, I’d probably just put some of that sticky putty stuff on the feet to keep it from moving.

This stand is essential for use of the Jiusion USB microscope. It makes it very easy to zoom, focus, and maintain a steady, sharp image. It is very well constructed and should be durable.

Ive had one of the $20 basic USB microscope for a few years and have found it useful, but was frustrated by the poor quality plastic stand that it came with. That plastic stand had no stability and was a real pain to focus and use the scope. This nicely-made aluminum stand makes that old USB microscope MUCH more useful because of the stability, adjustbility, and smooth focus operation. While a $20 640 x 480 USB microscope along with this stand is not the equal of a $180 1900 x 1080 microscope, for a total outlay of under $40 you have something that is very usable for the hobbyist in a number of fields. I use it to read laser-etched type numbers on small solid-state electronic parts, to inspect the BGA contacts on motherboards, identify insects, and just look at tiny stuff up close.

This ingenious little stand is an excellent upgrade for the Plugable USB microscope. It is well made, steady, has a precise gear drive for elevation adjustment, and is a very good value.
