The small size is very appropriate for my taste. it comes with a protective case which is handy. It also fits my Dino-Lite perfectly.

I have tried a few of the inexpensive digital microscopes available from Celestron etc. While the scopes themselves are pretty good considering the price, the stands have always been problematical. They dont support the unit well and trying to focus is a real chore. This stand holds the scope securely and makes it easy to focus so using the microscope becomes a pleasure rather than a chore.

I bought the base to go with the Jiusion microscope. It arrived unassembled in its own good-quality padded zipper pouch. Assembly was simple, although instructions werent included. We had a brief glance at a photo of it assembled to check we were doing it right, and voila! It works really well, is stable, steady and easily adjusted.

Stage area is pretty small but rack and pinion focusing is smooth and functional.
