i would rather have paid more for a larger dial

After ten years or so, my Johnson 750 Pitch and Angle Locator has become somewhat unusable after the piece of white cardboard at the back of the meter becomes warped and impedes the motion of the needle that is supposed to be free-moving to indicate the pitch or angle. So there is now about a quarter of the tool that is unusable because the needle gets stopped by the warped white cardboard positioned at the back on the inside of the instrument. Hence the fewer number of stars on accuracy. It was good the first few years before the warp developed. If the manufacturer is reading, consider plastic, glass, to metal background instead of cardboard background so it will not warp.

My last pitch gauge last five years but tragically didnt survive a two story fall off a 12/12. Luckily I got a picture of it before it slid out of my hand. I ordered two so now I have a backup. Great product

This product arrived quickly. This is a great little too that I use for my job. It measures both degrees of slope and roof pitch. I looked at other similar products that only measure slope, requiring the user to calculate roof pitch. This is made of a durable plastic, is lightweight, and small. Best of all, it is not electronic and therefore cannot malfunction or go dead.

This things tried and true. I’m a roofing estimater and use mine all the time, never had an issue.
