> 3 dayI have no experience with these connectors, so perhaps this behavior is normal, but almost had to make the connections with pliers. Perhaps this is necessary to assure water tightness.

22-04-2025Summary: When it comes to extension cables, two rules of thumb: a) buy the best cables you can (be it quality or size), and b) run the shortest length you can get away with. Observations: These are sold in four lengths: 6, 10, 20 and 30 feet. If you estimate a pair of MC4 connector at $1/set, then the relative price per foot (which is how wire is sold) is respectively (and dividing by two for a the pair): 6ft ($1.17), 10ft ($1.05), 20ft ($0.78), and 30ft ($0.75). So if you need additional 10AWG wire for other projects, you might want to consider the longer lenghts. Pros: Good fit & finish; cable is clearly marked 1x6.0mm^2, which is equivalent to 10AWG; standard MC-4 connectors. Cons: Single side termination. Conclusion: Rating the 20/30-ft 5-stars, and 6/10-ft at 4-stars (based on cost per foot of wire).

> 3 dayI put a couple of solar panels on top of our Metris. These are the type of cables that work with them. Dont really need 10awg for serial connection with high voltage/low amps but you do if connecting the other way. I do plan to work on a system for home as well. These are stranded tinned copper.

> 3 dayDecent enough quality cables Im not very experienced with them but they seem to look and feel okay to me and the price was fair

> 3 dayIts probably cheaper to buy the length of 10 AWG stranded that you need for your application and then add connectors but if you are new to solar, lacking in tools and experience, and just need to tie your solar into a bank of batteries or fuse panel, these wires are for you. With one end terminated already you can feed the open end through smaller holes in your RV or camper roof. These are great quality wires.

> 3 dayThis is just what I expected from a quality 10 gauge solar cable. The wire is flexible and has a soft weather-proof jacket. The connectors are standard MC4, so they are waterproof as well. One end is bare, making this a good choice for custom lengths or for running into an electrical box. I do not see any reason not to go with this cable if the price is reasonable as you read this. I would definitely buy more from this brand.

> 3 dayI love the 10 foot length. This is a very usable length for getting where I need it, and without creating waste. The connectors are all sealed well to prevent water from getting in, and they feel very well made. I love the stranded copper for dealing with high amps and proven longevity. Overall great cables. Highly recommended.

Greater than one weekI needed an extension cable a small RV solar panel that was being moved, and I had no clue about brands, but then i saw a JFYT cable. Ive purchased several electronics cables from JFYT (HDMI, USB, and Toslink) and Ive been impressed with the build quality for the price. I was also impressed that those products, basically commodity products, contained the brand name embossed on each end of the cable. This extension cable is like all my JFTY cables in all respects: Well built Solid connectors Correct length JFYT log embossed on connectors. To me, that last one, the embossed company name, is important in comparing commodity products. When I see a company name on a product like this, especially one that is embossed and permanent, is that the company is spending money to build a brand name rather than trying to make the one sale and move on. They want to build a brand name and are proud of the product they are selling. Importantly, it indicates that the company WANTS to be found by its customers - the last generic cable I had go bad had no name / logo on it and I couldnt figure out if it had any warranty, no less find the company to pursue it. Bottom line: its a well-built cable that performs properly made by a company that is building its brand and is easy to find in the event you need support.
