I use this for my kitchen utensils. It works great and looks good on my counter. The wooden spoons do sometimes go through the bottom/side, but that’s just a small inconvenience.

I have a small amount of kitchen counter top. This sits beside my coffee maker now instead of a coffee box. So pleased with the look & capacity. Even my husband mentioned how good it looks! Win win
