Really stiff with no ability to adjust tightness or lock into position.

I really enjoy this stand, I used to hunch over my ipad flat on the desk to draw and I knew it couldnt be good for my back. With this Im in a better posture when I draw. I gave 4 stars for stability because you cant really have it all the way up and draw without it tipping, but midway works great, I put a mousepad underneath it so it doesnt slide on my smooth desk. I use the 12.9 ipad pro, so smaller ipads likely can be raised even higher. I definitely recommend this to artists using the ipad, your back will thank you later

Does a great job holding iPad for viewing. I set it on my work bench in the garage and stream football games.

Simple, durable and easy to use. I have read comments that it was hard to manuever and almost didnt order. Glad I decided to try it. They even sent a cloth case for traveling with it. Would, in fact will order again.

I tried putting my 13 macbook pro on the stand before my ipad pro arrives, it holds on to the device well. No doubt it will withstand my ipad pro weight and support it well too. (:
