Greater than one weekI have worked in the computer field since 1985 - man have things changed. This little computer was the perfect solution when I needed to set up a computer for a family member across country. I was able to order the computer, set it up, and ship it to them. They are thrilled with the price, the speed, and the simplicity.

> 3 dayPreviously I used a Raspberry Pi to run game emulators (retropi). The Pi can emulate the games well, but it has a severe input lag. Then I discovered the KAMRUI Mini PC.

Greater than one weekFor years Ive wanted to build a retro-gaming console to play NES, SNES, PS1, etc. games from my childhood. Originally, I had planned to do this with a Raspberry Pi, but research suggested that the relatively weak hardware specs cant handle certain PS1 games (let alone anything more modern), and even upscaling some older consoles can be a problem. I decided to try this mini PC instead, as the specs were better, the price was right, and its actually a much more turnkey solution (it already has a case, more ports, etc.).

> 3 dayThis is a review update of my original experience with the Kamrui GK3 Pro mini PC with 500GB SSD and 16GB of RAM. My positive impression was cut short when that unit failed within 24 hours. Since then, the seller, Kamrui-Direct, contacted me with an offer to send another Mini PC of the same model “to make things right.” Thus, this review is really about two issues: the seller, and the product.

> 3 dayI have been running this Mini PC for a month and I use every day. It boots fast and plays 4K video very well. I used this system a lot, typically 16 hours a day, and didnt expect it to actually work so well. An amazing Mini Computer.

> 3 dayAt first I was skeptical. Ive had low-budget hardware before and had always found the experience inadequate. But Ive been nothing but impressed with this cute, tiny little box and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a budget-friendly general-purpose computer. Its no good for modern gaming (which if thats what youre looking for, you wouldnt be looking at these kinds of computers anyway), but for everything else typically done at home its perfectly fine.

> 3 dayI bought this pc because I wanted to play games but on a budget. It will download the games but it doesn’t have the capacity to run which is disappointing but to be expected from a mini pc. I have done school work and office work on it it runs decently but not amazing because there are times where it buffers and I have pretty good internet so there is no reason for that to be happening. All in all buy it at your own discretion it is a bit overpriced but it does its job.

> 3 dayI was originally looking for a Pi for a simple workstation that I can connect to when away from home via VPN. I have one of my old desktops that currently handles that, but its long in the tooth (10+ years old).
