> 3 dayI have purchased many Kasa smart products and have enjoyed them all. I have found them to be very reliable until now. Last night my power strip appears to have shorted out in the middle of the night. The lamp and other devices that were plugged in to the powership began flickering on and off and now the power ship is making a hissing noise. This is extremely inconvenient because it was at 2:00 a.m. and I couldnt control my lights and the power strip was behind a nightstand. I will say the other smart power ships that I have bought from the same company have all worked extremely well and Ive not had any issues. Im hoping that this issue is a complete one-off and that the others continue to work without issue

> 3 dayIts cool to be able to turn outlets on/off with the app and even locally via some custom code. Only complaint is that there isnt a way to issue a restart action that turns a device off then back on a moment later. This matters for my router since Id like to be able to use it to restart my router when the internet is acting up. (If I turn it off, Id lose connection and wouldnt be able to turn it back on). Otherwise it works just swell.

17-11-2024So when I first got this I thought it would be super basic and cheap. To my surprise TP link has actually taken the time to design this. From two USB ports on the strip and three standard three prong plugs this is a Amazing device to add to any smart home intergration. Easy app setup of the device only took 3 minutes to set up from start to end, each plug is able to be renamed and the Google home app with identify those names.

> 3 dayThis is by far one of the best power strip I’ve ever bought! I love how easy it was to connect to my phone and also love how I can set the times with my phone! Absolutely perfect for my snake.

> 3 dayIts great that I can set it to only have one outlet on instead of the whole thing. And I can have Alexa turn each one on and off or I can do it manually. The lights are a bit too bright for having it in my bedroom. It would be nice if they were dimmer or there were a way to adjust the brightness of them. And it would be nice if the charging ports could also be turned off and on. I mean, I seriously dont need them to be on all the time. Ive considered putting a smartplug at my wall outlet to turn the whole thing off LOL And the cord could be at least a foot longer. So those things are all that keep it from getting 5 stars from me. Hopefully this review will inspire a few tweeks for future models :)

> 3 dayIt might have been having the USB plugs on, but it didnt restart after a power outage last month. But. I really liked the thing, so I got another one. This is very useful with a nanny cam. I can see the fan/temp/lights in the greenhouse, and control them without running all the way out there. Perfect! You can also turn the lights off on the unit, if you want complete darkness as well. The physical buttons are nice when youre there, and the status on/off light is nice to see. again, you can disable those, but it gets confusing. The app has a timer on it, and also keeps power-on stats for the outlets. The USB outlets are always on.

Greater than one weekI absolutely love that I can plug multiple things up and control them with my phone or just set an individual timer! I can make it looke like someone is home with my lights when I am away! And especially love it when my Christmas trees are up!

> 3 dayI am in the process of setting up a new aquarium and decided to try a smart plug surge protector to plug in the various aquarium-related equipment. I especially was interested in the ability to individually switch off the plug for the aquarium filter for cleaning time. Also being able to use a smart timer for the aquarium light is great. I got the three-AC plug unit as that meets the aquarium needs in a compact form factor. I have been using Kasa Smart plugs for several years and have had the app for all that time. Setting up the Kasa Smart Plug Power Strip was easy and done in 3 minutes. It is also working with my Amazon Echo and Alexa (as are my Kasa Smart Plugs). While the plug is flat, it is thicker than the plug on my Belkin power strip (and it does not rotate). The gap between the cabinet and the wall is about an inch whereas it would be maybe 1/4 inch less with the Belkin power strip plug. Also, the plug cable is a little short at 3 feet which limited the placement of the power strip. What else would make this power strip better? I would like to see this in other form factors such as tower or square or in a cable management box. It would make it even more useful for aquarium applications. AUTHCODE CO092922KSPPS
