Protects my MacBook well for travel and it is beautiful! I have the newest MacBook 12 and it fits perfectly and the material is plush and soft, it offers no risk of scratching. There is also a small pocket inside that the charger fits into easily. Note this is not a rigid case, but a protective soft case. I use this to fit into my carryon luggage on trips, easy to pop out at the airport and keeps my laptops necessities at hand. I cannot comment on the water resistance because I have not wet the case.
