My daughter has VERY CURLY African hair. She is 11 now and I bought this product first when she was about 6. Then beauticians suggested other products or I tried stuff in stores - ALL KINDS very expensive, all natural, best buy - you name it and this is the only thing that works for detangling after we wash her hair (the worst time) and does not leave strangle residue. I brought it to the beautician for our last appointment. Sometimes she is in tears. What mother or beautician wants that! THIS IS THE BEST STUFF!

Absolutely love this product! I have very curly hair and follow the curly girl method. This product is great for detangling and rinsing as well as a leave in! A little bit of product goes a long way. The scent is bit overpowering and love that it doesn’t include any drying alcohols.

I love to try out new products on my daughters curly hair but Kinky Curly Knot Today is the product we always come back to. We apply it straight out of the shower before combing and styling her hair. When she wears her hair down, it makes her curls look beautiful and helps hold the coil shape without being crunchy.

I have used this for years...and I am glad to see amazon actually carries it now and then! My daughter has extra thick hair (3b curls) and fine to medium coarseness that you cant even put a scrunchy around because its too thick to twist and bring through again. (exactly like mine as a kid except I have always been medium coarseness, my parents used to buy no more tangles by the case for my waist length ultra thick hair, which is like using water to detangle compared to this...and extra large hair ties from Sallys when I was a kid) Her hair tangles very very easily and this is the ONLY product we have ever used that actually melts the knots right out in the shower. I also use this, and I too have 3b curls, but my hair since I had kids is not a full as hers anymore, so I dont tangle like she does now, but this is my go to leave in when i just need a light/non oily leave in and I used it every morning to reactivate my curls and remove any frizz for up to a week before I wash again. I just wish it came in big bottles so I did not have to buy so many at a time. I usually buy at least 6 lol, because of the thickness of my daughters hair, she goes through twice as much as I do even though we use it differently where I use it daily and she uses it weekly.

Product is around $10 at walgreens. I paid $36. I feel played. I couldve save $10. Only reason I was desperate enough to over pay is that stores sell out fast (there was only 1 on the shelves at walgreens) and this is my #1 staple product #sigh The product its self is the ish for my hair.
