They are strong and will hold 2 weeks of recycle A little expensive but the plastic ones only last a couple days. They make taking the recycle out so much easer.

This type of bag is what used to be available. But in the recent couple of years all I could find were the plastic. Not a fan, they didn’t stay in place at all. So glad I checked Amazon.

The sides stick out and tear when you open and close the trash compactor. Want a bag that Fits and not tear when taken out of compactor and to avoid more plastic bags.

We bought this house with the compactor installed. I looked for the original manufacturers bags but they had been discontinued. I eventually happened upon this product while searching for a suitable replacement. I perused a few of the reviews and saw that some folks had a hard time installing them, but decided to give it a try... and, it worked ok...the first time I tried one. After messing with the next bag a bit, and a couple after, I found that the installation and subsequent functionality, worked *way* better once I *first* started sort of forming the bottom of the bag, by not trying to get the pre-formed flaps that go over the edges of the bin into place first; just opening the bag then aligning and pressing the bottom of the bag into the bin...THEN pulling it up a bit and moving the flaps to capture the edges of the bin...then finally shoving the bottom back into place. Whole process takes maybe 20-30 seconds. After that, I was sold and have purchased a couple more orders. The material is tough, and it never leaks or rips unless I actually pour a good amount of liquid into it (oops, did that once) or keep overly-compressing it, until upon attempted extraction, the top rips off. Did that once, too. But, as long as *I* dont do anything stupid, it works great! All in all, Id recommend this.
