> 3 dayTrimming the outer red and black can be dangerous if they are trimmed too much. You want to make sure the red and black covering the banana plug can still reach to go around the connector inside the meter. As an afterthought, I probably should have removed the top of the meter and sanded the inside of the holes to make them bigger. I wouldnt want to do that without disassembling the meter lest sanded particles fall into the connector where the banana plug connects. Ill look to buy a different set of leads with the proper tolerances designed because I use my meter mostly for 120vac (the widow maker voltage). A customer shouldnt have to alter a product when they paid out good money just because a so-called reputable company cannot do enough research to determine the proper clearance measurements on common meters. You blew this one, Klein. Go back to the drawing board.

> 3 dayIt frustrates me that the high priced Fluke leads keep splitting open. After months of use, the Klein leads certainly aren’t any worse as far as insulation quality, but the screw on alligator clips are an enormous leap forward in convenience. Now I would like to see a few other screw on attachments. It will be a few more months before I can see if the Klein leads beat Fluke in longevity.
