Klein Tools CL800 Digital Clamp Meter, Autoranging TRMS, AC/DC Volt/Current, LoZ, Continuity, Frequency, Capacitance, NCVT, Temp, More 1000V

It worked fine at first and seemed like a good quality meter. But after about two months of very light use it just died. Became completely unresponsive. New batteries didnt help. I now have a $129 paperweight.

The Light is kinda lame, but the screen backlight is great. DC clamp metering has been nice for working on LED street Lamps. Reading all seem in spec.

This is a specialized tool. I needed it for DC amperage measurements and it does the just fine as well is other functions it is designed for. Happy with purchase.

Very much like this meter. The audible continuity test is awesome. I knew it would come in handy, but didnt realize how much. Contractor called me and said one of my rental units had no heat. After several minutes of troubleshooting I was able to determine the thermostat wasnt working. So I tested the thermostat wire for continuity which I knew to be good. Sure enough no continuity. Turns out the contractor cut the thermostat wire. If you get this meter I cant stress enough to get the magnetic mount for the back. When you are working on furnaces or electric panels having that feature is fantastic. Also the back lighting on this meter is great. The only feature I wish it had was the ability to rotate the meter screen. Also the leads that come with it are too short in my mind, but I already had a favorite set of leads from my last meter that work good. Overall a great meter and a life saver when troubleshooting.

Great especially for the price.

The only reason I gave this four stars is because Ive used this same meter that I borrowed from others and it was a gem. Mine had an issue.

Best bang for the buck multi meter on the market. Im a HVAC/R technician and wanted something durable with mf capability. It really does a great job. The magnet ( sold separately ) works like a charm as well. Great multimeter, unbelievable price for a klien. Water proof and drop resistant as well. Love the added flash light and led light feature. Wish it had probe holder and better case but honestly I pull this thing out over my fluke daily. New favorite multimeter.

I like what is can do, but I didnt like the auto ranging. Scale kept jumping around and rescaling. I turned it off. Then the light button is hidden under the lead clip. Why did they put it there? When using the lead clip, its hard to see the screen. I bought it to read DC amps on cars and boats. this it does.
