Since purchased this tool has not had an accurate temperature reading at any time. Poor product.

Appears well made. Gives same temp readings as a high-dollar Fluke I compared to. Made in China unfortunately.

I bought this to measure temps coming out of vents for JVAC usage. At best this product reads 10 degrees cooler than a standard temp probe that you would put into the vent. You get what you pay for.

This is very easy to use compared to my other one. This one is point and click and you get the temp and the laser pointer. My other one you have to turn on the laser pointer and select Fahrenheit or Celsius. The added plus is that it does not have that soft black plastic that will turn sticky in a few years like my other one.

I recently began a career in appliance repair and this has been very useful in checking the quality of the temperature for refrigerators, freezers, and water in dishwashers.

We recently bought an older home. We have done a lot of work to make it more energy efficient but the temperature is still uneven throughout the house. Using the Klein Tools IR1 Infrared Thermometer, Digital Laser Gun we were able to locate a few places that air was still getting through so we can do a quick inexpensive fix. This was absolutely worth the money!
