This unit is fairly accurate at the proper range per instructions. Works great when diagnosing trouble spots in hydraulic systems, engine cylinder misfires, roller and ball bearings needing replaced prior to failure, and hot spots in electrical systems.

Its my second one dont wanna waste 100 on a temp gun comes in handy just be really careful its kinda weak and dont use holster it tears super easy

Works great for surface temps. Easy to use

Klein makes good tools, and this temp tool is a good one. I did not want 9v because the batteries leak and destroy the tool. Lithium AA batteries never leak. Any tool with a 9v battery must be stored with the battery removed. Period; so Im disappointed that the tool is 9v. Not worth returning though.

I buy this tool to work on hvac to make my life more easy and fast but only work for 2 month’s and I will never buy it cause they go bad easy and start gave the wrong reading.
