Klein Tools MM400 Multimeter, Digital Auto Ranging, AC/DC Voltage, Current, Capacitance, Frequency, Duty-Cycle, Diode, Continuity, Temp 600V

Bought this to replace another Klein multimeter that lasted over 5 years. Is accurate and the price is great. Its not a Fluke, but it does what I need without the Fluke price tag

Works as promised for what I needed it for.

Good little meter, I have a larger one for bigger jobs. Added a probe set with this meter . Would definitely buy again. Fix perfect in a mechanic service truck tool box drawer

Easy to use decent thing for buck

Bought this for a solar generator/battery project based on Will Prowse recommendation. Have to say it is a nice upgrade from my 45 year old Radio Shack special with an analog needle. The only drawback for me is that the default Volt mode comes up in AC everytime. So, I have to remember to press the SEL button to get to DC. The automatic AC/DC mode must not sense too well. I have not used the TC or current modes yet. But so far I am very happy with it.

As advertised but needs a top mount so I can hang it on my work bench top shelf so I can see what Im testing and keep it off my bench.

Overall is ok for the price paid BUT I bought it specifically to read Temperature, after comparing it to all my Instruments it reads 3 to 4 degrees too high totally unacceptable.

The Klein Tools MM400 autoranging DMM is - in my opinion - the best mid-price DMM around. Its got all of the absolutely required functions of a DMM (Vdc, Vac, Idc,Iac, Resistance) as well as the two highly recommended functions I specify for my EE students -- Capacitance and diode test. On this meter, the frequency and temperature functions are gravy for me -- but now Ive found that the temp function is super wonderful to have.
