Klein Tools MM400 Multimeter, Digital Auto Ranging, AC/DC Voltage, Current, Capacitance, Frequency, Duty-Cycle, Diode, Continuity, Temp 600V

I bought this meter because of the capacitance function that is has on it. I wanted something that I could check the capacitors on my ac units, at my house. The first thing that I didnt realize when I bought it is that this is not a True RMS multimeter. Okay fine, that is my fault and I should have paid a little more attention. I have other meters that are True RMS so I can over look that. I was surprised that, that feature wouldnt be standard on a meter with Kleins name on it. O well, lesson learned. The other thing that bums me out is my thermocouple cable is broken. I get a reading of OL if I dont have the cable bent just right. Whats new though? If youre like me, you are used to buying brand new, broken junk lol. Its a little thing I know, but I hate not getting what I paid for especially since life has gotten so expensive. On the positive side, the meter performed great when it came to checking the capacitors. It has a limit of 200uF, which is plenty for what I got it for. The meter seems sturdy, the backlight is bright and the readout is easy to see.

The Klein MM400 multimeter is an outstanding, rugged, professional looking meter. I use it around my resident when checking circuitry and when running electronics in my trucks and automobiles. The range is perfect for both applications and the meters compact size allows easy operations in tight locations.

I was amazed with the functions of this meter.

Im not a professional electrician of any kind so keep that in mind. I use this working on cars, machinery and around the house and I like it. Its easy to use and the auto ranging feature works well. It seems plenty accurate for my uses and the construction quality is decent. Would buy again

Im not an electrician so it takes me a bit to remember the functions. But it works fine for everything Ive needed it for.

Purchased this to be able to check all 5 of my marine batteries. Simple to use.
