As all the other reviews.... it is just a matter of time for the cheap battery cap to brake thanks to the thin walls and the pressure from the battery spring, from there the tester is useless and the only option is to throw is to the trash, change it for another one which will brake eventually or make your own new cap.

Received this to test from Klein. Love the versatility of it. However it is large in size. Worth carrying though.

This $39 tool was within 1 degree of my bosses $1200 FLIR!

The reason I bought this one was the temperature reading function.

The head is so large this can not be used to test a light fixtures bulb socket. Doing home inspections, if a light doesnt turn on I use a non contact tester to see if its just a missing/dead bulb (when no spares are available). This does not fit there. Had some difficulties getting it to read some receptacles even. Really only good for testing wires. Laser worked fine for measuring distance, but as youd expect not as convient as standalone ones. One more issue I had is the clip is very tight and not very flexible to getting it to clip onto my toolbelt was not easy and required two hands. This is now one of my spares that lives in the work van.

I love this as a maintenance person it has both tools that is needed a heat for heating problem and detectors for electrical repairs

It is a very amazing device, I use it everyday for voltage and also checking temperatures of my equipment. It is very accurate and death on.

This Tester is very easy to use and doesnt use much room in the tool bag.
