Used this tester for a friend that didnt have a clue which wire was the hot one..found it and he didnt get shocked...item was saved and so was my friend..excellent stick tester.

No stars order came today not even the right product was a voltage test put in a package of a non-contact voltage tester with laser infrared thermometer bottom of package was already cut open does not even fit right in the package WTF

If you are electrically inclined and need to do some detective work to figure out electrical problems, this tool is very useful. I have had other sniffers but they always had some issue or felt they were lesser quality. This unit is top notch and although it is not intended for use on AC lines, if the power is off (you need other tools to verify that), it can be used to track down wire locations and interconnects. It really helped me understand how some outside wiring was connected to track down a problem w/o needing to call an electrician

The screen scratches to easily and its always switches its self on inside my work shirt, work very, or pants pocket.

Works great for finding electrical issue if somethings getting hot, duct work temp, compressor temp and checking power!
