> 3 dayI have traditionally just used a multimeter whenever I need to check voltage, continuity, etc., and that works great if you have access to terminals or bare wires.

> 3 dayI got this for two reasons, to test Christmas lights and also for checking outlets and switches around the house for killing myself. Since its December, my priority was on light strings, and I found this tester useless for that.

> 3 dayEasy to use, quick results, makes it easy to identify which wires are live. Very helpful in plastic junction boxes where you dont have a reliable independent ground. There are other versions of this but specifically got this model due to the light. Very helpful! Bought an extra one and gave it out as a gave it as a gift.

Greater than one weekPretty basic, light not too bright but this is a small device. On one electrical line gave a false positive when set to most sensitive setting but better than a false negative and getting myself shocked.

> 3 dayIt’s really touchy. I have to literally have the point ON whatever I’m trying to get a reading on.

> 3 dayEasy to use. Well built. I liked the dual voltage range detection. The built in light is very useful. The battery cap is secure. I have not used the plastic clip. The housing is solid, rigid rugged build quality. Very pleased with product.

> 3 dayIts pretty accurate, and has a flashlight. I like Klein tools, but dont buy this because it is set apart from all the other testers out there. I think it is no step above all the others, its just a different color and name. They all seem the exact same, except some dont have a flashlight.

Greater than one weekIt lights up when power is detected with no touch. I recent used it to trace why my well was not getting power. In a few minutes I located the problem. It has a flashlight too. I am very happy with it.

> 3 dayThis tool has two settings. If you dont know the voltage you are looking for or chose the wrong voltage by mistake (very easy to do) it will not detect live current. I would not recommend. Could actually kill you.
