I ran 10 cat6 cables throughout my house, and when I started terminating them, some worked, some didnt. Troubleshooting was confusing. So, I ordered this, and wow, it make it so easy to find the fault and fix it every time. It even identified one bad cable Id pulled (probably kinked it bad while pulling) with its distance fault detection. Id never run Cat6 cable in my house without this amazing testing tool to make sure the job is done right in the end.

This thing is Awesome! I decided to run cable under the house to several rooms. (Yeah my back, neck, and knees hate me) after running many runs to many rooms, then installing shielded keystone jacks, I was able to check each run and identify every jack. I found cheaper keystone jacks are not worth buying!. Without this tool, I would be chasing so many problems!

Everything works great. Remote cable finders are great if youre looking for multiple cables at once. My main issue is that while its also a tone generator, it doesnt include a probe. Not even the biggest kit includes one (even though the case has a slot for one), which means you have to buy it separately for $40!

I used this to figure out which wires in the attic were connected to which network jacks in the house. Couldnt be more simple. I put the numbered remote plugs into the jacks, then when Id plug a wire into the meter, it would show the number of the plug. Saved a lot of time.

Big display with backlight. Quick response. ID in the handle 1 and in the set also start from 1, why not from 2.

With Self-Store Test+Map, cable would Pass; with Remote #2 through #6 cable test shows Split. I also re-terminated it and same result. After looking at the Manual closely, this isnt a fail. If Fail, the top line would shows Fail Split. I adjust the Tester so it would read cable length more correctly. That didnt change result. Took the cable with me to work and test with Flue Cable IQ and it pass and showed everything terminated correctly.

Fairly easy to use and does what its supposed to do. Used it a couple of times and it provided consistent results.
