The device was easy to use. The identifiers made wiring so much easier.

It seems to be a great tool but it’s hard to learn how to use all the functions and I’ve been doing av for 20 yrs. They have packed to many functions into single buttons. More buttons would be nicer. With that said I’m returning this for another one because shipping smashed the screen and the digital digits are messed up. After receiving second one .’. It all works fine

I used this to figure out which wires in the attic were connected to which network jacks in the house. Couldnt be more simple. I put the numbered remote plugs into the jacks, then when Id plug a wire into the meter, it would show the number of the plug. Saved a lot of time.

Great test kit for CAT-6 cables

Great tool! I love the detachable remote troubleshooting termination detector. Without this tool, I re-crimped far to many RJ45 terminations without much success. To see, on an LED screen, exactly (number for number) how a patch cord has been terminated from one end to the other, beautiful. One note, the smaller remote jack identification locators only give ID information back to the hand held unit, no other improper or properly wired details. However, if youve ever been in front of a home-run panel full of coax, cat5, and phone cable, this end of the deal is a hair saver. Says Klein on it and cost $90, did not know that was possible. Try that with Fluke. I own 4 different Fluke products, nearly bulletproof. Ive dropped them, think Ive fried them, left them on and put them back in my toolbox only to find the battery just fine after months. Honestly, Fluke is in a different league and Im not an IT person, so, for the money this little Klein is just fine.

It is simply easy to use and reliable. With this and other Klein tools, I was able to locate all the incomplete coax connections in my newly constructed home. Some coax lines were not connected at the wall plate, and all connections in the smart box were without RJ6 terminators.
