A brand I trust. Tool works, quick and dirty.

I was happy to get this, made checking the cables in the wall of our new home easy...and I did find a bad one.

Great tester. If your making data cables or connections youll want this. Its simple and works great. It helped me identify wiring issues from my builder and have it corrected quickly. The remote has good range so when I wired my poe cameras the remote was outside while the tester was inside. Worked great.

I works but spend the money and get the digital version.

I used a cheap cable tester for a few years making a cable here and there and it was slow and failed when I started making more than one or two. The Klein is faster, better build feel, and the fault mode are clear. I wish I had spent the extra $5 up front for this tester.

Ran a Cat 6 cable for a security camera. After the camera refused to work I checked the cable with the tester and it passed. After hours of troubleshooting I finally re-terminated the cable and it magically started working.

Works as described.

The Klein VDV526-100 worked okay for me, except for the one thing I needed the most at the time - it does not tell you if a standard RJ-11 Telephone cable is good or not. At first I thought it was broken, as I tested it on a new telephone cable Id just bought. But after reading the instructions, twice, I finally really sorted through a couple of lines:
