Klein Tools VDV526-100 Network LAN Cable Tester, VDV Tester, LAN Explorer with Remote

This arrived on time and works as advertised. I had several terminations to make and this allowed me to know they were terminated correctly.

I have a long cable run from my house to my shop that the previous owner put in. There were two issues with the wiring at this help me diagnose. That saved me from having to trench a new wire

No crazy advanced features like what the NetAlly does, but it tells me if my cables and ports are wired properly, which is all I need it to do. Its also inexpensive. Recommended.

Excellent tool. It is easy to tell if the connector is wired correctly or if the wire is damaged. The removable end makes checking the full length after installation easy. I caught myself making a couple mistakes (out of 50 or more connectors, not bad)..

Network LAN cable tester thats easy to use

Wiring our home office with cat6 with T568B keystones. Everything worked fine on the network under load but this tester would report that the run was miss-wired. This being my first time and all, it created cause for concern, I didnt want my 16 drops misbehaving down the road because I crossed a wire.

It works. I just wish that it told you what wires are the issue.
