I used it to test RJ11 telephone plugs, and RJ45 ethernet plugs. The tester did find faults before using the defective cables and losing time to do trouble shooting. Its worth the money.

If you do cabling this is a must have. Test your cables and know they are wired correctly every time. I love this product.

I have always purchased Klien tools to make sure I get the highest quality products for best long term use. I have purchased coax terminations, as well as ethernet terminators, and then this tool. Im running new CAT5e through my house, and through others, and having the second remote end, so I can run through walls, and then test is amazing.

Pretty much all plastic but it works well. It save time also if you are trying to determine which cable goes where and if there is a problem with the cable.

I’ve been using this awesome tool for home internet wiring and making my own length runs. I have very little previous knowledge about networking but this tool has made my learning and practice so much better.

Good construction & quality - dropped it from the top of a ladder (oops) and it still works fine and has no damage. I like how it tells you not only if your cable is open, but also if youve wired it incorrectly (as in all wires make it to the other side but the order is wrong). Youll generally know exactly what went wrong.
