I remember K&N oil filters used to be a lot more expensive than Mobil 1 Extended filters. But the price has come down now. Both are some of the best filters according to all my research. So I would use whatever it is on sale! I used both brand filter for a 5000 or 7500 mile oil change interval using Mobil 1 synth on all my cars. the nut on top of the filter is a cool concept, but for a weekend car mechanic like my self the nut size is pretty big! unless I use an adjustable wrench which i tried to avoid. And I do not even have a big enough socket or wrench to fit the nut on the oil filter. So to me that nut is useless. I do have a oil wrench that i prefer if i cannot get the oil filter off with my hands. Overall its a great filter to go with synthetic oils.

An excellent quality filter that is easy to install. Have used K&N on all my vehicles for over 30 years and have never been disappointed.

After having to remove a filter installed by Jiffy Lube without the wrench off on top I can honestly say I will never buy another filter that doesnt have the wrench off option. Removing this filter is easier than trying to squeeze your filter wrench into the few millimeters of room most cars have. I have always trusted K&N filters and have never been let down.

The box the filter came in looks like it was kicked around for a couple weeks. The filter inside has some paint scuffs and the paint is chipped off the top. The filter itself seems ok. The gasket is in tact and the inside of the filter looks clean. The threads dont look used so Im going to use it but probably look for a different seller next time. Normally there is a filter replacement tag in the box too that was not in this box. 3 stars for this particular filter and delivery. Normally, when I order this filter it arrives in better condition.

I bought it and bring it to the store to get oil change, the one who help me change oil said It was a good oil filter.

I use this filter on all my Subarus, because oil flow is important to a Subaru engine life span. Combined with full synthetic oil, I perform my oil change every 10K miles with no issues. Yes, I add oil every 3 months, but thats a Subaru thing. 10 years and 4 Subarus since my first oil change with K&N Oil Filters and I cannot recommend it more.

These are the best filter on the market, I use these along with extended life oil in all my vehicles.
