> 24 hourDespite all the Reviews and high praise, alost of that comes from advertising and hype remember. Not saying this oil filter is bad, i love it, but it is very expensive for a resin type fiber filter. It will filter well, but not as well as say, glass enchanced nano filters from other brands, especially at this price range. Those other filters may not have as high flow rates, but i do not run a racing dry oil sump system in my car. Some good things about this filter though, it has a thick steel casing and a removal nut, i personally just use my hands to twist off, but for some, the nut can be a real help in taking the filter off. This is a high quality product, do not get me wrong, its just this filter does not fit my situation as well as say, a mobil1 or purolator filter.

> 24 hourIts an oil filter. It filters oil. Ive been using this brand for years just because of the ease of removing it. Ive never had any issue with k&n filters. I use them on all of my vehicles and they all work great.

> 24 hourI remember K&N oil filters used to be a lot more expensive than Mobil 1 Extended filters. But the price has come down now. Both are some of the best filters according to all my research. So I would use whatever it is on sale! I used both brand filter for a 5000 or 7500 mile oil change interval using Mobil 1 synth on all my cars. the nut on top of the filter is a cool concept, but for a weekend car mechanic like my self the nut size is pretty big! unless I use an adjustable wrench which i tried to avoid. And I do not even have a big enough socket or wrench to fit the nut on the oil filter. So to me that nut is useless. I do have a oil wrench that i prefer if i cannot get the oil filter off with my hands. Overall its a great filter to go with synthetic oils.

> 24 hourThe Amazon system states my Honda Civic LX 2000 1.6L needs the HP-1004 K&N filter when in fact it needs this HP-1010. Ive used this now for a few dozen miles on my Honda Civic LX 2000 1.6L and had great success filtering my engine under my demanding conditions (new tires with more thread grip). Ive had the car for years and this filter is the best Ive ever used. Easily taken off with the standard wrench.

> 24 hourBest Oil Filter on the planet. No hyperbole. I work on all varieties of engines and I have Blackstone labs test oil all the time -- Ive seen and can show marked improvements in oil quality (and remaining life) with an average oil filter and this High performance filter from K&N. Its worth the small bit of extra money (which lets be honest, on Amazon is negligible). I use on my personal daily driver -- a highly modified 350Z. Oh, as you can see has a built in bolt / hex pattern offset to remove should it get too tight, or you accidentally over tighten it.

> 24 hourI love this K&N filter. It is incredibly highly rated for protection, but thats not the biggest positive for me. I love the fact that I dont have to search for the right filter wrench when I use it. You just grab a 1 wrench and use it on the top of the filter to do the last tightening when you put it on, and obviously that makes it easy to remove at your next oil change.

> 24 hourI just got it delivered tonight. It was quick, but even though the oil filter was in a box, when I opened up the shipping wrap the oil filter was already out of the original box & not wrapped in anything; which allows debris into filter. I will be blowing it out w/ air before installing. But I would be more comfortable if it was actually wrapped in box.
