In the 5 years I’m been using this filter I have never had any leaks or problems with this oil filter. I’m pretty sure the people complainant about having a leak it’s because they probably use the nut to tight the filter, the nut is *ONLY THERE FOR REMOVAL OF THE FILTER* like Ive said I never had any issues it’s a great filter probably the best, but I could tell y’all of another good brand the xp-wix filters are great too.

As per normal with K&N filters it’s super easy to use and has the nut on the end of the filter in case you need to get it off for the next oil change.

I’ve watched uTube vids of people (probably with too much time on their hands) cut filters open and post test results. The K&N is always at or near the top. I feel confident my engines will be protected but it is also quite important that this filter has a welded 25mm nut to assist in removal. The filter is deep in between exhaust manifold. As such it’s very challenging to get any tools in and filters are often too tight to remove by hand. Amazon Pricing also beat my local parts store by about half.

I dont mind K&N oil filters, but they are a bit expensive for what you get. There are other quality filters on the market for significantly less cost. In addition, the nut shape on the end seems handy, but filters should not be over-tightened. Using a wrench on these makes it difficult to judge whether or not you are getting it too tight, so its more of a selling point than a practical functional element. Keep your hands clean and hand tighten it.

These filters may be a bit expensive, but I like them. I think the quality is excellent. The added section on the top that lets you use a wrench is very important on my vehicle.

Been using K&N oil filters for some time I am a fan of the wrench off feature because it makes removal so much easier than with a traditional oil filter wrench.

I love this K&N filter. It is incredibly highly rated for protection, but thats not the biggest positive for me. I love the fact that I dont have to search for the right filter wrench when I use it. You just grab a 1 wrench and use it on the top of the filter to do the last tightening when you put it on, and obviously that makes it easy to remove at your next oil change.

After having to remove a filter installed by Jiffy Lube without the wrench off on top I can honestly say I will never buy another filter that doesnt have the wrench off option. Removing this filter is easier than trying to squeeze your filter wrench into the few millimeters of room most cars have. I have always trusted K&N filters and have never been let down.
